Tell Someone You Love Them Today
A close friend of mine just lost someone close to him. For me peace comes knowing they live in the Purple Sky-heaven truly isn’t that far away and it was created by the same one who created the earth. When someone I love has transitioned into a new realm it inspires me to find and bring the beauty and order and peace of heaven to earth. Tell someone you love them today. Make sure they know.

Do you know our purpose?
Do you know why were put on planet earth? Well, your dreams are probably your greatest clue. Perhaps there is a dream that’s been burning in your heart for years but then life happened. Marriage, kids, a mortgage, a move. You ask yourself, how did I end up here? Working 40+ hours a week at a job that I don’t enjoy. Somewhere along the way someone told you this was “the way.” Too often we pursue money, security, or status at the expense of our heart’s desire. Sometimes we fear success as much as we fear failure. Maybe that’s not you’re story. Instead you’re the mover and shake who makes it happen daily, the recent grad or the one pursuing a master’s degree working in the field that you love. But if you’re not sure about your destiny know that no matter where you are on the journey or how far away from your destination, God is always looking for someone He can partner with right now. God has millions of purposes glimmering in the purple sky above and He wants to share them with YOU. So, what dreams may come when we believe? Could we find a cure for AIDS, end divorce in this country, invent safer, slicker, greener school buses, or transform African economies. Point being the purple sky is the limit. But we have to begin somewhere.

Trey Songz & Fabolous Go Green
In honor of Earth Day’s 40th Anniversary (April 22, 2010) Trey Songz & Fabulous are joining the Hip Hop Caucus for the launch of their national campaign Green and Live. The “Be Seen Being Green” concert jumps off April 15th and 16th at the University of Miami.
According to Hip Hop Caucus’ website the purpose of Green and Lives is to raise awareness within low-income communities of color about the particular impacts of climate change on their communities. It seeks to educate and provide tools and resources for families to contribute to climate change solutions, access economic opportunity in the new Green economy and ultimately live healthier, greener lives. MJ would be proud!

Okay. Bear with me. I’m new to this :). Glad to be finally be a part of the Tumblr family. I’m an ATLien blogger looking to make new friends. One of my favorite scriptures says “thy kingdom come…on earth as it is in heaven.” In my blog ThePurpleSky.com I try to look at life from heaven’s viewpoint. What does God think about stuff-about Obama, Kanye, Tiger Woods? What does he think about the problems in our community? I’ve always been interested in answers and I believe heaven has a ton of them.
